Athena, stooping, holding her left hand on a lance with its head turned to the ground, in a meditative mood, simple, barefoot, wearing a Doric peplum, resembling a young earthling. Only the Corinthian helmet, that is her symbol, suggests her divine nature. Numerous suppositions and explanations related to the reason of the meditation and the symbolism of the star (that the goddess has under her eyes) were emitted.
